Overnight canoe trip turns toxic: Trupanion to the rescue!
Our puppy consumed something toxic while we were 4-5hrs away from civilization and on an overnight canoe trip. After seeing the vet at midnight, I called Trupanion to begin the claim process. The person we spoke with on the phone was patient, understanding, and very confident that we wouldn't have any issues. In the end, she was right. The only complication was due to a mistake on the vet's side when they tried to make the claim from the office directly. When I realized things were amiss, I called Trupanion back and it was remedied very promptly. I am extremely happy with having pet insurance. Yes, we pay for it monthly, but the cost of the premiums have already been worth it just one year into having our new pup in our lives.

These charlatans kept me and my fourteen-year-old dog hanging for two months waiting on our claims, which were small vet bills and prescriptions, and then denied us due to "pre-existing conditions." I canceled today and I want my money back. It should not be legal to rip people off like this.
