Excellent Customer Service

Patrick was amazing! He was knowledgeable and didn't make me feel rushed which happens a lot when calling into companies. It was much appreciated. I work in the same kind of field and his work ethic is very much the way I operate. People need to be listened to and get to speak to agents like Patrick. He is definitely an asset for your company.

I love trupanion

I love trupanion I had the coverage for both of my pets. One has now passed but it is the only insurance that continued to cover everything they say they cover even after some major claims. I did get the acupuncture coverage and it helped both pets so much in their elder years. I remember when ceili got trampled by a moose and I had to take her in when they quoted $8500 to fix her I did not have to worry about the cost because I had trupanion. We got to get her fixed up and she lived several more years. She was 10 at the time. Karma just had knee surgery which was also covered no problem. This is the best insurance out there. I have known others with different insurances and when they really needed it, the coverage they had was just not there for them.

Trupanion is the best of the best

Trupanion is the best of the best. My little Princie of only a few months old had to do a very big and delicate surgery of $10,000+. With Trupanion we were able to save our fur baby without drowning into debts. Everything was so easy and we got our refund right away. We can never say thank you enough to Trupanion!

Real Coverage Less than Advertised

First time claim for one of my cats was a big surprise in terms of what I expected in coverage and what I received. By the time Trupanion had deducted costs that did not apply, including the anticipated deductible, examination and food costs, I was paid $258 dollars on a $740 claim, about $100 less than my estimate. The response time was much faster than the small claim for another cat. However, this has me questioning the coverage I would receive for a claim in thousands of dollars.

Huge price increases

Seemed ok at the time I took out the insurance. Now suddenly a 50% price increase! No justification for this. They get you in and then hit you with increases. Disappointed and angry

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
