two active pups

we have 2 yellow lab pups, this is the first time we ever considered getting pet insurance. Wow are we glad we did! This has been the best experience ever, when the need arises for filing a claim the process is easily from submittal to reimbursement. We could not be happier! thank you for being such a wonderful company with a really caring staff, it has been a pleasure! The only delay in entire process came from the emergency vet, not trupanion

Excellent service

Our puppy fractured his leg and the service was great. The claim was promptly processed and without back/forth with the vet. It was only 5 days past the waiting period and I was a little concerned there would be "issues". I was totally wrong. It was the same great service we've experienced with our other two dogs.

The Best

I have purchased pet insurance for my 2 boxers Samson and Delilah since they were 8 wks old. Samson swallowed some toys & developed a bowel obstruction. He required major surgery & then severe post surgical diarrhea. He was treated at the Univ of FL School of Vet Med. Expenses have been close to $9000 and I was reimbursed 90% of these costs in 2weeks. I work for an insurance company and wish all of my family's claims were paid as quickly & seamlessly. Recommend this product as a physician with intimate knowledge of the insurance industry. Thank you so much Trupanion!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
