good overage when you need it.

I have 3 rescue dogs. You never know when something will come up where veterinary care can become very expensive. With 3 dogs, I decided I couldn't afford not to have them insured. So far, I've used Trupanion for one of the dogs. She has an eye condition that requires an eye salve twice a day. A little tube of this salve is rather expensive, but am very pleased how much Trupanion reimburses me. It gives me peace of mind just knowing I have this insurance when I need it.

Great Claim Experience

My dog got deep eye ulcer. Went to 2 vets before finally got referred to an eye surgeon who operated on my dog the next day - and also to have weekly checkup for at least 2 months. Trupanion was extremely efficient in processing claim, they covered all my expenses from all 3 vets and medications as well. I send them my receipts multiple times and every single time, got processed right away. Plus, they are soo courteous and professional when you talk to them on the phone.

Kudos to Trupanion

Trupanion has been fantastic in the handling of the claims we have had with our dog. They have answered any questions we had, have paid the claims we submitted in a prompt manner, and have been friendly and caring. I know of cases where pet owners have been dissatisfied with their pet insurance; however, in our case we are very happy we chose Trupanion, and I will tell anyone who will listen how great they are!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
