Great!

I just submitted my first claim for my puppy and found that Trupanion not only processed my claim VERY quickly; they did so with true concern and excellent communication. I could not be happier!

Very satisfied with Trupanion

I have 3 pets-2 10 year old cats and 1 7 year old dog, a Yorkshire Terrier, Samson. Samson became ill with Pancreatitis and required hospitalization and numerous treatments that were very expensive. Thanks to Trupanion, Samson is much better. They were very supportive and very quick to complete the claims. There were no hidden obstacles or ambiguous language in the policy as I previously experienced with other insurance companies. They practice what they preach - and I would recommend them without any hesitation.

Excellent service

I have paid into the insurance for a year and a half and I hoped to never need it but when my dog woke up limping one morning I was very worried, took her to the vet and of course they had to X-ray her and investigate the cause, there were a couple of issues but fortunately it was nothing serious, she had actually injured her paw pad, but after the expense of the visit I was very happy that I had insurance and could rest assure that whatever the issue was, my little baby was covered and would be safe. For a first time experience having to make a claim, Trupanion actually paid me my money much faster than even they initially said it would take for a first time claim since they had to get her medical records which is something they only have to do once, with your first claim. I received the exact amount, covering her meds, her X-rays and everything except the visit, which I already knew was not covered. The service was excellent and I would recommend this company to all my friends! Thanks Trupanion, for doing what you promise you will in times of need!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
