Highest Recommendation!

Over the past two years, our dog had to have hind leg surgery twice. After both, we completed the simple claims forms, had excellent service and communications from the company, and received our insurance check quickly and accurately. I am very glad that we had this policy, and it help us with some significant veterinarian expenses. I would highly recommend it to others without hesitation!

TERRIBLE BREACH OF TRUST

I have nothing but problems with Trupanion. They have denied every claim I have submitted. My vet finally had to challenge them on what right they had to say the dogs illness did not qualify? They did not renew me after 30 days, even though I had done everything I was told to do, and when I called they said, sorry, and I had to start my wait time over. I am cancelling this insurance and going to another, don't waste your money!!

Wish Human Insurance this Good!

Sadly, we had to put our 4 year old Golden Retriever, Sasha, to sleep recently after an 8 month battle with Lymphoma. It was a very difficult process but made much easier by the wonderful people at Trupanion as well as the ease of filing her insurance bill claims. Apparently this process will be getting even easier soon. I have been a human doctor for 20 years and deal with insurance issues almost daily. If our healthcare system adopted the Trupanion method, our country would have much better and affordable healthcare as well as less complicated. After Sasha died, I spoke with Cynthia to cancel her policy. She was very sweet and empathetic and even sent me a letter of condolence. The personal treatment, the ease of signing up, paying the premium, and picking your policy as well as the ease of paying/reimbursement for care make this insurance company quite incredible. I strongly recommend them for your pet and maybe one day for humans as well. Thanks Trupanion for making our loss of Sasha a little bit easier. Dr. Brown, M.D.

AWESOME Company to deal with!!!!

This is the first time I have tried pet insurance for a pet and DO NOT Regret getting it!!!... They have been wonderful to deal with and helped make it possible for my puppy to get the surgery that was needed for his broken knee cap.Thank you Trupanion!!!

not impressed

I recently became a client of Trupanion. My pet started vomiting about 4 weeks ago. After seeing the vet,some tests were ordered, and 5 claims were open. When the results of the test came back, the claims were sent to Trupanion. All claims were denied due to "Preexisting condition" or "prior to the policy inception/ during the 5 day accident waiting period / during the 30 day illness waiting period, there can be no coverage for this claim". I therefore cancelled my policy. I am not impressed with the company and I tell anyone who has a pet wants to listen, my story.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
