Scammers

Agree with all comments made by others, how they request records over and over and try to find a reason not to pay you even when your vet will state something is not pre-existing. They paid for a so called "pre-existing condition last year" and now they don't. But don't go to their website and try to find anything - their claims page is an ABSOLUTE joke. The costs have gone up every year. We'd all be better off if we set aside a little money for our pets to use to pay the bills. Then we could invest it and not them. Like everything else, it is all about the money. By the way, I have pets insured with Trupanion (I will be discontinuing the policies and/or changing to other companies for at least 4 of them). For 5 pets, I pay them over $2,500 a year, and they denied me about $200 on a recent claim because it was pre-existing". Also, save every piece of paperwork from them and your vet, and we'll have tpo start blogging about the correct terminology to be used. Vets don't know - insurance is still new to them, too. If the vet submits the right code (an honest code), you get paid.

We had a pre approval for $700.00 surgery within 48 hours and the vet hospital was paid directly the day after the surgery! What a relief to not have to come up with $7000 and wait for reimbursement! Jamie was awesome and truly cared!

Trupanion Absolutely Amazing!

These guys are great in all aspects from the customer service to the quick prompt response times to ensure your pet is top priority. My Baby came ill over night and I knew there was something off. I called Trupanion to ask how the pet insure would work if I took her in to the Vet. I hadn't had to use the insurance so at this point I had questions. They were concerned for my pet and encouranged me to bring her in to make sure all was well. My pooch ended up at the Emergency Vet where they kept her over night for further testing act.. I had to call Trupanion once again and once again their Customer Service was really the best I have seen. Working with people and Customer based work, they really have the best of the best on staff. Everyone seems to really love working for this company. Clearly they are doing something right. I wanted to ensure I took the time to comment on this as it really made a good impression and also helped in my time of panic and need. At the end of this, I can say my Baby is back home with me now and feeling back to her healthy self. My claim came close to $700.00 and I paid $0 deductable and they processed the payment quicker then I could blink an eye. Really all I can say is THANK YOU TRUPANION. This is the first time I have ever purchased Pet Insurance and I don't regret it one bit. A few times I contemplated cancelling my Pet Insurance. And I am now thanking my lucky stars that I didn't. This scare was all I needed to confirm I will never be without P

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
