Excellent Service

Just a quick note to thank Trupanion for your assistance with the bills during devastating times. The service was quick and as promised, which was a complete surprise to me. Knowing what we know of insurance companies, I was pretty sure I would be getting nothing other than excuses as to why I would not get reimbursed. Thank you to all of you.

Typical Insurance Company-DON'T PAY CLAIMS

They will bury you in paperwork and medical records all along trying to fins reason for not paying the claim out. They are the typical Insurance company that smiles and behaves nicely but only charges you premiums and provides no claims reimbursement. I had 2 Pet accidents with them and both were not covered. I cancel my coverage shortly there after and will never be back to Trupanion.

Truly remarkable service and care!

My dog began having cluster seizures, we immediately took him to a reputable neurologist. The hospital wanted a $5500 deposit for the care and testing to see what was going. Not having it available right away we panicked. Trupanion was able to rapidly pre-approve my dog for the care that he needed and spoke with the hospital to ensure them he was covered and the claim would be paid. He was then diagnosed with a brain tumor after the MRI. The doctors said he could have up to 6 months left to live. Thanks to Trupanion I have my boy at home and back to himself for as long as he has left. The value of their service is truly priceless.

Buck - hotspot

Buck had a bad hot spot (infection) on his head. We made a few visits to the vet, for initial visit and follow ups. The office processed the claims on the spot and it was approved with in 5 minutes, all the claims. i highly recommend Trupanion Insurance for your pet.

Quick payment once records are complete

My cat stopped eating for 3 days and was running a temperature. I took him to the vet who did several tests and xray, but could not find a cause. They fed and hydrated him intravenously for almost 2 days, and when I took him home, he finally started eating again. When I filed the claim, of course I couldn't find his complete records; once they were complete, I got a check in less than a week. Given that delay, I am now hunting down the records of my other animals just in case.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
