The best insurance policy ever for pets

Peaches was very weak for a few months and a heart issue was suspected. It was so comforting to know that Trupanion was there for us. Peaches had to have a battery of testing done and she seems to be much better. The worst has been dismissed and we now know we have a VERY mellow young girl ... her heart is still under suspicion but she does not have to go through any more testing for a year and then she will be given a clean bill of health regarding her heart. Trupanion responded quickly to EVERY claim. WE have Trupanion for both our goldens and I have always been pleased with their response. I recommend Trupanion to EVERYONE with pets.

Life Saving

As you have well heard over and over, a pet becomes part of your family. When they are sick, you want to do all you can to find out what ails them and proceed with medication or procedures. Trupanion has given me that peace of mind. With their quick claim acceptance, I know that I will get 90% of what I pay so I don't have to worry so much the costs, I can keep focused on my furry family member. Thank you Trupanion.

Acute Renal Failure

Hunter appeared to be lethargic and wouldn't even respond to our voice. He just lay in the snow stretched out, barely moving. He was rushed to the 404 Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Newmarket, ON, where a team of specialists attended him. He was diagnosed with Renal Failure and had less than 25% function. We had to have him in ICU for 5 days! You can only imagine the expense to have him with 24 hour care. We were able to take him home after the 5th day and the Hospital submitted our claim to Trupanion on our behalf. Within 24 hours we had confirmation they had our claim. Within 72 hours we had notice our claim was being processed. To our surprise, we received our reimbursment within 10 days from the original submission. Trupanion continues to reimburse us for all our follow up visits and medication. We have been reimbursed over $10,000.00 dollars since it all began. I can't imagine having to bear this burden alone and am thankful that the tough decisions for treatment were less stressful knowing we had Hunter covered with Trupanion. We spoke with others at the hospital and they told us of limits and actually being cut off because their claim was too high. I am SOOOO glad we decided to get Trupainion for Hunter when he was still a puppy at 8 months old. Our Hunter is now 4 years old and hopefully will grow old with us. Thank You Trupanion for helping us to give Hunter the best possible care !!!

Awesome service

The vet first thought lexi had a twisted intestine, as it turned out she must have gotten into something. Trupanion was very helpful.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
