outstanding service and quick payment

Trupanion was exceptional in their concern and handling of Ranger's claim, follow through with the providers, and quick payment. The Claim person on the telephone line expressed true concern for my dog's health and made me feel as though he understood my worry.

Great experience

I took my claim form with me to the vet. They send they would send it in to TRUPANION for me. That night I received an email from TRUPANION saying my check was in the mail. A couple of days later there was my check. That simple!

Excellent Customer Service

By far the best experience I have had dealing with any customer service organization. Every point of contact with Trupanion has been a pleasant experience. The process is straight forward and very easy to understand.

Words cannot express how GREAT Trupanion is

We never have to worry about taking anyone of our 3 boys to there vet, with regards to the cost as we know that Trupanion is there for them.

WE would be lost without TRUPANION!!! Thank you!

Thank you for everything you have done for us! We have had coverage for both my Vizsla Dogs since they came home at 8 weeks old, they are an energetic breed so I thought if something ever happened what would I do?? I signed up and thank god I did, my Rosoce came from a not so good breeder, my poor boy! Hip dyplasia, torn ACL, then surgery and some therapy however I didn't include the rider so I take him to acupuncture monthly for approximately 100.00 a session. Thank you for all your help and I'll keep Tucker as healthy and safe as possible!!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
