Amazing

My 2 year old Sky suddenly fell ill with something that my vet told me is a neuropathy that Bengal Cats are suffering. Trupanion has covered the cost of all test, x-rays, ultrasounds and medcations. And so easy to claim, as my vet can claim it so I have to pay only my %.

Trupanion is fantastic!

My dog Crosby had to have TPLO surgery to repair a torn ligament. Trupanion covered everything they said they would in a fast and easy way and they personally called me to let me know he was covered. They are the best!

we were extemely pleased with the claim

Our Chihuahua Coco was not feeling well so he needed serveral tests to determine the cause. At first the results were not good. but we have a great Veternaian who was determined to find the cause. it turned out not to be serious. Trupanion went above and beyound the call of duty!you coverd more than expected and the claim was processed so quickly. We recommend Tru panion to friends and family. thank you! Maria and Karen

Couldn't be happier

We've never had pet insurance before. When we got our puppy last year we thought long and hard about it. Just a year and a half later we view it as the best decision we've ever made. Our poor pup has had bouts of kennel cough and giardia. We've been able to get her the attention she needed with the peace of mind that comes with insurance. Working with the folks at Trupanion has gone very smoothly. They process claims very quickly and are genuinely concerned about the well being of our little Mocha.

Great coverage - great service

Have had nothing but great service from Trupanion. I get emails when the claims are received, when they are processed and when they are finalized. And this whole process is usually done within 2 weeks of the claim being filed. Customer service when needed (very rare) has been exceptional.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
