Great claims service!
Had a claim involving four vets in two states so I was concerned it would be complicated. Turned out to be no problem and the claim was handled quickly.

Excellent company
My 3yr old lab was ran over and did significant damage to his rear legs and hip, trupanion was extremely fast and effecent I'm getting my claim started and approved so we where able to get our fur baby the service and surgery he need

Trupanion is Terrific!
I cannot say enough good things about Trupanion! My wonderful veterinarian gave me a flyer from her office about Trupanion insurance for my precious kitty. At that time my kitty was only 3 years old and very healthy getting good reports from the vet. I came home and laid the flyer down on my desk and it of course got covered with other papers. In March of 2015 I decided to clean my desk and found the flyer. I decided to go ahead and purchase the insurance. It was very affordable and easy to do on line! At the time I was assuming I would not need to use this insurance for another 5 years hopefully...as my kitty was very healthy...however, in June my precious kitty did get sick and we had to rush him to our local kitty Emergency Center. Needless to say we have incurred around 1,000.00 dollars in expenses. I had only had the policy for 3 months and they were amazing, caring, polite, considerate, and professional in dealing with my claim. I faxed my claim and they emailed me the same day. Then they kept me posted with emails on how the claim was coming. Every experience I have had with them has been quick and pleasant. I truly cannot say enough good things about Trupanion. Everytime I go see my vet (which is more often now) I tell her office staff how good Trupanion is and they can feel confident recommending this company. I would have never joined Trupanion had my vet not given me this flyer so I am ever so grateful to her for giving me this valuable information!

Great Service!
I have been with Trupanion for about 2 years. I had no idea I would need them as much as I do. My cat has had a number of issues. I certainly hope for some healthier years to come! I'd rather never have to use my insurance. I have experienced excellent service from Trupanion. My claims are processed very quickly and everyone I've talked to live has been fantastic!
Monthly Cost
Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.
Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions. Whichever insurer you choose, it pays to enroll early!
