Piece of Mind

I just want to let you know that you have been an amazing company...my poor Teghan passed away last week but I will tell you that I never worried about his care...and we went everywhere...pain management specialist, acupuncture, holistic care, amputation, chemotherapy...he had it all and hung in there until the end...it wasn't the cancer who took my poor baby but a prior TPLO surgery on a rear leg and his other leg suffered and it was time for my little hero and not being pushed to make that decision because of money was the best piece of mind that I could have been given...I was able to give him the best care possible. Thanks Trupanion

A True Peace of Mind

When I was shopping for dog insurance 5 years ago, I never expected to find such a great company. You always hear horror stories about how pet insurance companies try not to pay out claims, or have caps on the amount they will pay out, but Trupanion doesn't conduct business like that. My dog was 5 when we joined and completely healthy. Over the last 5 years he's had seizures, heart murmur and breathing issues, and almost died on the operating table. Not only did Trupanion always reimburse the amount that was due to me, they did it in a timely fashion. When my dog's issues first started they even had a representative call me to make you I was ok going though something so scary. They treated my dog and I like family. In a time of uncertainty that is exactly what I would want out of my insurance company. You're so busy worrying if your dog will live, bills are the last thing you want to worry about and Trupanion took that worry away from me, making this process easy. My dog would not be here if it wasn't for Trupanion honoring their promise to cover the claim, over the last 5 years I have spend close to $8,000 and they have paid out everything that was owed to me. Thank you so much for being here for us, we owe you everything!

excellent service

Having a pug for the past 11 years, and having pet insurance has been a blessing as our pet as had many medical problems,Trupanion as been there for us from the smallest claim to the largest,with no hassle at all.

being grateful

Kore has been suffering from thyroids and arthritis for last 5 years. Now when she is becoming 12, started to suffer from some kind of immunologic illness. Al the time she has had the care that she need because all the trupanion support. For me it has been really helpful and it has made the process easier all the time. I NEVER have had a refusal and all the time I have had the refund for the expenses. Last months it is even more better with the direct claim service.

The best

Have had multiple claims for two dogs and all were handled in a matter of days. Very satisfied with Trupanion. Highly recommend to all pet owners.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
