No stress customer relations!

The process couldn't have been easier. I downloaded a claim form, took it to the vet who faxed it to Trupanion. I received an email that the claim had been received and in a very short time, another email that my claim had been processed. Two days later, the check was in my mailbox! I highly recommend Trupanion as a company that stands by its promises and it's pets and their owners.

We could not be more satisfied overall

Trupanion was outstanding in responding to and approving significant charges for both emergency vet treatment and followups with our regular vet. All on our contacts with Trupanion have been excellent...professional, courteous and efficient. Again, we could be more pleased/satisfied with their coverage and response. We recommend the company highly.

Best pet insurance

Trupanion is the best pet insurance. They handle claims in a very timely manor. We have never had a problem. I would highly recommend them to every pet owner.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
