excellent service and promptness

2 weeks ago was my first need to use trupanion. Ihad questions about getting and using the claim form. When I called the girl was very helpful, and very nice.She emailed me the form and told me exactly what to do. Less than 24 hours after my vet faxed the claim, I had an email from trupanion detailing my coverage and the amount I would receive. the check came in a week.

Everything was done exceptionally well .

As one who has bonded very tightly with my beloved little female Mexican rescue dog, Charley, my thoughts were all on her since teeth extractions were involved. And so it is a comfort to know there is an organization that policy permitting will deal fairly with the details involving a claim. Contacts with Trupanion staff all went well --- and obviously they certainly convey a love for pets and the concerns of their owners.

Peace of Mind at a Stressful Time

Knowing that I had the support of Trupanion right from the start meant I had one less thing to worry about when my Great Pyrenees mix got sick suddenly. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis and Trupanion worked seamlessly with my vet to coordinate care and coverage. All I had to do was print out a form (easily found on the Trupanion site), fill out just a little info and give it to my vet. They did the rest and much faster than I expected I had a reimbursement check in my hand. Took the bite out an over $800 bill.

Very Professionl!!

Trupanion handled our claim in an expedient manner with true professionalism. Communication was rapid, cordial and claim payment was sent in a timely manner. I would recommend Trupanion to any pet owner!!

I suggest EVERYONE have Trupanion insurance!!

I am so thankful to have Trupanion! We have a 11 month old puppy (maltese), who is very active. He had surgery for blockage at 8 months and then a month later needed surgery for hernia from first surgery. Trupanion was the best. They came through within days of the surgery. Best choice I ever made. Thank you Trupanion!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
