Thank you for your compassion towards little DiDi

Thank you for always being prompt in answering my claims. It means a lot to my husband and I. I have done research on various pet insurance companies and most don't come close to the quality of service Trupanion offers. Providing quality care for my little DiDi means a lot to us. Thankful!!

I'm a grandmother & have never had insurance on a DOG! Our Vet. mentioned Trupanion and after the expense from our last dog we decided to try it with our new pup. Tilly was vomiting and needed emergency surgery at an out of town hospital to remove an acorn. I didn't even think about the insurance until days late when she was home. I took the form to my in-town Vet and they faxed it in. Got the paperwork rolling and I didn't have to run around to all the doctors/hospitals that worked on our Tilly. Best thing we ever did for our little girl! We have health insurance, why shouldn't she!

Health Insurance is a Godsend

This was my first experience in filing a claim; as I never had insurance previously. The claim form is easy to complete; and because both the Pet E.R. and my vet were familiar with the process, my biggest responsibility was to put the claim and supporting documents in the mail. I was impressed to receive an email from Trupanion acknowledging receipt of my claims; also explaining the next steps. I received an additional email about a week later, notifying me that Additional documentation had been requested from my vetrinarian. Within 30 days of my initial claim submission, I received payment in the mail. I am so grateful to have Trupanion's help in my time of need. It is a comfort to know that my pet Jasmine can receive the best medical care without the stress of financial hardship.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
