Best Pet Insurance

My thank you would not be enough for what Trupanion has done for my dog, Puffy. After his two surgeries, Puffy has diabetics which require medication for the rest of his life. I would not be able to take good care of him without Trupanion. It helps me financially. Never delay on the claims and never give me any hard time whenever Puffy needs care. Whenever, people asked me which Pet insurance they should have, I will always recommend this insurance. You will be very please knowing that your dog(s) is/are in good hand.

Peace of Mind When On the Other Side of the Globe

Go figure - we leave for a trip to a remote area with absolutely no internet access or cell reception, and our little guy gets bitten at daycare. We get an email from the daycare, they took care of everything on our behalf (love those guys), and in the meantime TruPanion got in there to do their part. By the time we got back to civilization, the claim was completed, little buddy was all good, and the portion to be paid to us was waiting in our mailbox. Quick, efficient, excellent communication, and a huge relief to have a wonderful paper trail when we got home. I can't speak highly enough of how well they handled everything, especially when we were completely unreachable.

Best pet insurance ever!

Try to start your dog as a puppy. If a large dog, get the hip rider. I am so grateful I did with my rescue dog. Turns out she had a birth defect on her spine. She needed a hip replacement by 18 mo. It was covered. Had it not been, I'm afraid we'd have had to put her down because the expense is huge. Her monthly supplements are covered too. When I fax my bill to them on a Friday, I am usually paid by Monday through direct deposit. It is just fabulous!! Never had a complaint and I have 3 dogs on Trupanion. I recommend them to everyone.

Unbelievably Fast!

I am astonished at the speed my claims for Meowstro was processed. Both my feline Catpanions are enrolled in Trupanion. This gives me incredible peace of mind. Thank you Trupanion for taking care of Meowstro.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
