Great insurance company, I tell my friends who just purchased a dog to get this insurance ASAP , no kidding , have used trupanion on 2 occasions now with no problems

Saving Brandi's life...
My dog began limping an hr after a walk. Took her in to be evaluated and she had a 104.2 fever. After x-rays and lab work she was diagnosed with septic arthritis, and the bill was $1,500 and climbing.
Dr. Rosado started submitting for reimbursement and Trupanion came through, paying for everything but the deductible. I couldn't be happier because she would have been lost to me without their help.

Love these people
I was so appreciative of the way I was treated throughout this entire process. It was stressful enough that my puppy had dental surgery. This was the easy part.

Trupanion - Thank goodness!
I would honestly recommend Trupanion to anyone who has a pet! I am the happy and proud owner of a sweet shih-poo named Joey. After a healthy check-up at the vet 2 years ago, I decided to sign up for Trupanion. Well, thank goodness I did as my little Joey has run into some serious health issues as of late (totally out of the blue) and trust me when I say that if it weren't for Trupanion, I would need a part-time job on top of my full time job to pay for all of his medical & hospital expenses. The email notifications explain everything that is covered and the service has been great.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.
Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
