Absolutely the best!

We took out our policy when our King Charles Cavalier was 13 wks old. She is now 6 yrs old and has been diagnosed with multiple medical conditions common to the breed. She has had extensive testing, two surgeries and is on life long medication. Every single time I have submitted a claim it has been paid within just a few days! On the occasions that I have had to call Trupanion my questions have always been answered with utmost professionalism, but even better has been the degree of concern they have shown for making sure my sweet girl gets the best care, They are 100% the very best! Thanks you Trupanion for being such a wonderful company!

There when we needed it most!

If it weren't for Trupanion we would have never been able to pay for the emergency tests, and treatments our Great Dane Max needed. They were quick to help us in our time of need, and knowing we have Trupanion gave us the freedom of not worrying about the costs of tests and emergency surgeries Max needed. We always recommend them to our friends and family, or even just people in the vet office thinking on if they should get it or not. We will always be thankful for all the help Trupanion has given us, Max is alive today because we were able to pay for the surgery to save his life.

Pleasure to deal with! Very fast turn around time.

We were shocked by very expensive vet bills due to our dog being diagnosed with Meningitis. Overnights, medication and treatments costs alot! We never knew that vet bills could be so much! We are so happy that we got Trupanion. They were a pleasure to deal with. They were so quick too! I would definitely recommend Trupanion to every pet owner.

Used by veterinary staff.... need I say more??

I am a vet tech. I worked at a large referral veterinary practice for 16 years. I have seen TONS of claims go through, and by FAR, the fastest, easiest to deal with and best, is Trupanion. I have seen horrible customer service from other companies (wait times up to 1 hour to talk to someone, payment for claims taking 4-6 WEEKS??), increasing premiums and deductibles for owners from other companies, you name it. Most of the staff where I worked...guess what company they use? Trupanion. If most of the clinic is using it, I think that speaks volumes.I personally have used Trupanion since it was Vetinsurance, and have submitted what is probably around $15 000 in claims. I have NEVER had a problem. After my claim is faxed or emailed, my claims start processing in less than an hour and I am verified by email. Trupanion pays my clinic DIRECTLY, so I only ever have to pay my 10% up front. NO OTHER COMPANY does that. There is no comparison to the rest if you ask me.... and I've SEEN them all in action. Keep up the good work Trupanion, you provide help to so many animals, and owners alike. You make a difference.

You get what you pay for!

The insurance that we have is not the cheapest. You could find another company that is but at the end of the day it is the claims service that matters the most. You guys have been superior with this respect. I email my claim submission. Your process it and direct deposit into my account. When our French Bulldog had to have emergency spinal surgery we were able to concentrate on what mattered and not worry about the bill. She means the world to us. Thank you for giving us the peace of mind we needed during this time.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
