Happy to have insurance

My dog has 2 floating patellas, she is a 3 year old mix that could no longer run like she use to. Vet said surgery was the only answer and estimated about 3 to 4000 each leg. She decided the left was the worst and would need to be done first, then we can take the other leg after this was done and healthy. Trupanion made this easy and affordable

Trupanion is Awesome

Unfortunately I lost both my pets last year.Sammy, died of congested heart failure. Koko,died from Cancer. Sammy was 9 and Koko was 11. Even though The expectation of beating cancer was very low Trupanion paid for treatments without a problem. Within hours I had a authorized Approval to start treatment. The first few weeks were tough on koko but after the treatment we had 30 days of her acting like a puppy she was so happy, Sammy was so happy koko was back.. koko became sick on the 31st day. We had to put her down.. We will forever be thankful for the treatment and the kindness that was provided by Trupanion!! Sammy died shortly after of a broke. Heart.. 6 months later we saved Cooper a rat terrier from a shelter he has such a great personality he reminds us of both koko and Sammy in the strange things he does :) Yes Cooper has insurance through Trupanion We are so greatful for the service they provided us. Thank you Trupanion and more importantly thank you to the employees involved with all the kind words and cards that were sent. Steve R

What a relief !

I was uncertain if specific medical treatments my dog needed in surgery would be covered. I was very relieved when the Trupanion operator confirmed coverage to me, over the phone, in advance of the treatments.

Impressive customer service!

When I adopted a family of rescued cats (mom and two kittens) my vet's office suggested I enroll them in this pet insurance policy. Within a couple of years the little female kitty developed kidney disease. Over the course of 1-1/2 years the cost of treatment exceeded $8000. It would have been financially difficult to cover those costs without this insurance. Anytime a claim was submitted I received an email that Trupanion was processing it, and I would have a check within two weeks. My precious little kitty was doing well with fluids, etc but then a kidney stone moved and there was nothing the internal specialist could do to save her. Shortly after the last claim was processed, I received a sympathy card from Trupanion. That was unexpected from a large company, but says a lot about their commitment to doing as much as possible to help pets and pet parents. I have recommended this insurance to every friend who shares their life with a pet.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
