Best thing I ever did for my dog & my family
his left ACL was torn and his meniscus same leg had to have surgeries. He also had a Corneal growth that had to be removed

Best coverage
Our pup has had Trupanion since we first brought him home at 10 weeks and it has been the best decision we've made. Trupanion has been there for us every step of the way and they have even been able to pay our vet directly so we don't have to get reimbursed.

Helped to offset cost of treatment
When our Bichon Frise became very ill, once the deductible was met, reimbursement was very speedy. Our Vet's office electronically submitted the claims and the money went right into my bank account.
I would like to see more of the office visit covered for situations like this, but it would probably increase monthly payments too, which i would not like, as fees have increased steadily since we enrolled Mac.
Yes I would recommend Trupanion.

Wellness insurance
We would like to see preventive and wellness care like humans have as a key part of their insurance plans. Animals are like children and they areDefinitely considered integral part of the family. Thus, insurance plans should cover routine and preventive care also. I like trupanion coverage but, weneess snd routine should be covered so we know they really care
And we pay monthly regardless do this would make customers TRUELY happy and spreading the word about true pet

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.
Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
