Unlimited payouts, fast response time for claims

Trupanion is very quick with claims. I hear back within a few minutes and so far have had a great experience submitting claims for my bulldog puppy. So far she has been covered for everything related to her Urinary tract infection. Other companies will limit the amount they pay out but this one doesn't its just one deductible per condition. Highly recommend!

BEST COMPANY OUT THERE!

Fantastic company! One deductible per medical condition, no limits annually or lifetime. If you have a "lemon" of a pet and have to claim often, they sympathize and stick with the 90/10 rather than adjust your co-pay because you are claiming so often. This is the fine print that other companies don't tell you about! I've spent close to 10,000 due to my dog's progressive disc disease. Having Trupanion had allowed me to spend another year with my girl. Insurance = smart - planning for the uh-oh. More time with my girl = priceless.

Trupanion is a blessing in disguise.

Trupanion has been a blessing in disguise. One of my dogs, Jesse, was diagnosed with incontinence 4 months after she was spayed. Little did I know, that 1 in 250 male or female will develop this from spaying or neutering. Trupanion honors my claims for her medicine constantly and in a very timely manner. Never any issues or problems! I've been extremely happy with Trupanion!

Amazing, Just amazing!

I got this pet insurance plan when my Coco was about 1 years old. For many years I was paying my premium every month, but never had to submit a claim. Everyone around me kept saying, "your wasting your money" "just cancel the plan, you don't even use it". I thought to myself I never want to be in a bad place and not be able to help my dog god forbid something was to happen. When Coco was just shy of 5 years old, many things started to happen. She was having very bad allergy issues, peeing issues, stomach issues, etc. We took many trips to the vet and many trips to the ER vet. This plan has saved my butt so many times. Coco also had a lump removed from her neck last year in which the plan covered in full and reimbursed me back 90% of the cost of the surgery. Coco is also on two different medications in which the plan covers since I met my deductible on each claim. So instead of paying $71.00 every month for her one medication, I pay about $7 after Trupanion reimburses me back. The company overall is so easy to deal with and so inviting. I never spoke to a mean representative. If you are in the market for pet insurance, I highly recommend Trupanion for all your pets needs!

Honest Coverage, Incredible Service!

Our English Bull has had many issues with allergies (diet & skin). She is allergic to 30 of 32 common ingredients found in dog food... thankfully a protein (lamb) was a low indicator. We focused on the diet side for quite some time, but then it was suggested by our vet to consider a dermatologist. We are in the initial stages of treatment but initial treatments were quite costly but we proceeded because you can't put a price on your pet's health and comfort. We called Trupanion, not sure if or what might be covered. They basically told us 90% of everything would be covered, excluding our deductible and the consultation fee (just like the wording says). Where we really feel they went above and beyond is when I offered that we have been paying many other invoices trying to manage this condition over a long period of time... they covered it all under this illness and went back as far as we had receipts! The speed of service is incredible as well... less than 48 hours from submitting the receipts. Trupanion is awesome!

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
