I feel so grateful that I have Trupaion to cover my Mia in case of an unforseen event.

I had another insurance company with my previous dog and it was not clear cut on what they would cover and what they would not. When my precious dog got sick, that Pet Insurance caused me so much anxiety. I had to be able to pay for the entire procedure and then be reimbursed. I applied Care Credit to pay for her operation, and medical expenses and death when I finally got reimbursed for some of it but it was not as much as I would have gotten with Tupanion. My vet told me that when I get another pet to use Trupanion. I have been happy with Trupanion but have not had to use it for this new pet. I know that I will have to pay 10% of whatever happens to her and that is so comforting to me. I'd rather have insurance and not need it than to hit by surprise that could cause me thousands.

Trupanion saved our financial bacon and made dealing with a sick dog more bearable

Our dog has had a number of health issues including an auto-immune disease and 2 ACL surgeries. Having Trupanion allowed us to make treatment choices based on what we and our vet felt was best.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
