Satisfied client VERY upset
I left a VERY positive review on Dec 1st, 2022. Less than 3 months later I would like to take back that review.
My senior dog has been on a Flovent inhaler for a couple of years. I use the medication sparely - partly cause of the expense (~$120), but mostly because it contains a steroid. I have filled the prescription in the past and it was fully covered. I have already paid the deductible for the respiratory condition - in 2021 he was hospitalized and has since been taking this medication once - twice daily depending on his symptoms.
On Feb 23, 2023 I submitted my claim for just over $120 - of which I received a little over $8 back. I called to set up an appeal. It took weeks to have my appeal claim opened and have since reached out to Trupanion a couple of times. Each time the representative has told me there is an “IT issue” and once that issue is resolved my appeal will be opened.
I pay over $300 a month for two dogs. I have been with Trupanion since 2011 and they can’t expedite my appeal?!? Clearly I am not a valued client, as they are willing to lose a client who pays just under $4000 a year for $100…you do the math! As always…insurance companies make money. Why upset a client over $100!?! 🤷♀️
