12 week old puppy mauled by big dog

My 12 week puppy was mauled by a big dog and nearly died. It was touch and go for the first several days. I was beside myself for the first 3 days waiting to see if he was going to survive. Trupanion took care of everything. I didn’t have to talk to them once, the vet and Trupanion took care of everything. I was so grateful because I was in a state of shock and talking through logistics and insurance was the last thing I wanted to do. I was just focused on praying for my puppy. Trupanion has been incredible. My puppy, Yarrow, has long term imjuries from the attack. He’s already had surgery and two CT scans. He’ll need another CT and another surgery when he’s done growing, I am so grateful I’ve had Trupanion by my side through this. I owe Yarrow’s life to them as his injuries were so extensive I never would’ve been able to afford his card. Thank you Trupanion!!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
