Mindy's Malocclusion & persistent deciduous teeth

My 6 month old Maltese “Mindy” was having issues with Malocclusion and persistent deciduous teeth. When she was spayed and micro-chipped on July 26th she had about 3/4 teeth removed but she was still having trouble and was referred to the Dental Center and had surgery on August 8th where she had 12 teeth removed and some orthodontic work to help move her canines into the right location. This would help solve soft-tissue defects from tooth contact in the floor of the mouth and the roof of the mouth (palate), and save her from future mouth injuries, periodontal disease, fractures and wear on teeth due to the teeth misalignment). This procedure was expensive but I wanted Mindy to be okay and have teeth without pain. Mindy had this surgery on August 8th and I submitted my claim on August 9th (a claim from the deciduous teeth pulled on July 26th and a claim for dental surgery the day before) on August 16th exactly one week later, I received an email from Trupanion that they will be paying 90% of the eligible bill - this was everything except for the $85 examination fee for the dental surgery; and they also sent an email about paying 90% for the eligible work completed on July 26th. Thank you Trupanion……YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY I HAVE YOU!

Outstanding!

Every single customer service representative I have interacted with at Trupanion is amazing! They are sympathetic to your concerns, while also being realistic and fair. You can tell they are not just working for Trupanion for a pay check, as many people ask intimate questions about my dog and relate to situations by telling stories regarding theirs'. Thanks Trupanion! I couldn't afford to love and care for my dog like I want, without your support!!

Easy, Quick, Complete, Perfect!

I wish my health insurance was as easy to deal with as Trupanion. From the visit to the vet until the check was mailed, I was informed of every step along the way, there were no paperwork hassles, and it was done quickly and efficiently - and I could put all my attention on my cat where it belongs.

Monthly Cost

Your monthly premium is determined by multiple factors including your pet’s species, gender, breed, age, zip code, and the deductible amount you choose if your policy allows.

Coverage

Depending on your plan, the Trupanion policy pays up to 100% of your vet bill for all eligible expenses. There are unlimited payout limits, always and Trupanion will never increase or cancel your coverage because of claims you submit. Coverage includes new accidents and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions, diagnostic tests, hospital stays, and much more. Trupanion prides itself on paying out more on the dollar than any other provider and has paid out nearly $2 billion in claims to date.

Payout Limits

The Trupanion policy* has no payout limits, so whether your pet needs one quick visit or a lifetime of care, your coverage won’t quit. That can mean a big difference if your pet develops a chronic condition requiring extended care like allergies, diabetes, or even cancer.

Deductible

If your Trupanion policy has a deductible, you can customize it to fit your budget. You can choose from $50 to $1,000 in increments of $5, or choose to have no deductible at all. Trupanion deductibles are per-condition and good for the life of your pet. That means no annual resets-once a deductible is met, you never have to pay the deductible for that condition again.

Age Limits

All new pets can enroll from birth until their 14th birthday. Once your pet is enrolled, they can be enrolled for life

Waiting Period

Waiting periods vary by state. Please see your states policy for full coverage details. However, other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
