Great customer support during my first claim!

This was my first claim and everyone has been super friendly and helpful, whether via email or via phone. The claim was processed uber fast as well. I am ready to recommend you to all of my friends, because without Jeremiah’s insurance I am not sure that I could have afforded his ongoing treatment.

Very professional and easy to submit a claim

I have never had to put a claim in until the last 8 months which totalled two claims. I am very impressed with customer service because on my first claim I need assistance. I put the second claim in early this week and it has been processed already. So far I have had an excellent experience.

Highly Recommend for Peace of Mind!

I recently signed up for pet insurance, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. The sign-up process was easy, and their customer service team was incredibly helpful in answering all my questions. Having a furry and no furry friend can be unpredictable, but knowing that I have coverage for accidents, illnesses, and even routine care gives me peace of mind. The claims process is simple and quick. Whenever my pet needs treatment, I can rest assured that the insurance will cover a significant portion of the costs. Issues with reimbursement

Their website malfunctions often. In the past I have been reimbursed via direct deposit, but with my most recent claim, they issued it via cheque for some reason and 2 months later it still has not arrived. I have phoned multiple times and been told something different every time. They have told me they have reissued the cheque twice now, but it still has not arrived. The address of my account has been the same and is correct, so unless Canada Post is having issues delivering it to the right address, then there is something shady going on. According to their company policy, if a cheque is issued, they cannot cancel a cheque and reissue via direct deposit. This is a inflexible policy that should be overridden in circumstances when cheques are not being delivered and they cannot track the cheques as well. If I don't receive my reimbursement, I will be changing insurance companies. Please BEWARE folks.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, and postal code.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000, $10,000, $20,000, or Unlimited depending on the plan chosen.

Deductible

Age-based annual deductible of $100, $150, $200, $250 or $300.

Age Limits

Dogs: 8 weeks through 10 years, 11 months Cats: 8 weeks through 12 years, 11 months Accident Only plan option can be offered regardless of upper age limits

Waiting Period

Accident Only Plans: Next day coverage for eligible accidents Named Peril Illnesses – 3 days Accident & Illness Plans – 14 days

Exclusions

Plans cover accidents, injuries, illnesses and more, and features simplified reimbursement based on percentage of invoice. Preventive Care is available at an additional cost. Policyholders can use any licensed vet, including coverage eligible mobile and virtual vets. Insurance plans are underwritten by Northbridge General Insurance Corporation and administered by PTZ Insurance Services Ltd. Insurance plans are marketed and produced by Spot Pet Insurance Services, ULC. All Pet Insurance plans have waiting periods, annual deductible, co-insurance, benefit limits and exclusions. Specific products, features, coverage limits, rates, and discounts may vary by province, eligibility, and are subject to change. Medical Conditions that are noted, symptomatic or diagnosed prior to enrollment, or during a waiting period are pre-existing to Coverage and not eligible for reimbursement. Coverage availability varies by province. Not available in Quebec. Preventive Care reimbursements are based on a schedule. Accident & Illness insurance reimbursements are based on eligible treatments and invoice amounts.
