Billing problems not resolved in a…

Billing problems not resolved in a timely basis. My home insurance was fine, but my auto policy was quoted one price, but appeared in the dashboard with a much much higher price. I had to chat with agents 3 times, all of whom tried to assist and apologized for the situation. Yet 3.5 weeks later I was charged the higher price on my credit card, with no explanation as to why. Was told that I would eventually get a credit, but it's quite frustrating to see how long and how much time I've spent on this billing error. I don't doubt people are trying to fix this, but it's not fixed and I've had to reach out for updates.

Good follow-up.

Update - customer service responded, explained the situation (government regulation), apologized for it and for the lack of clarity, and proposed a resolution which we would have been happy with. We ended up canceling the policy due to no longer having the vehicle, and they processed a refund in a timely manner. Thank you! This company quoted one rate, then charged another. (Turned out they quoted the policy we wanted, then modified the policy to one that was more expensive and charged for that.) They promised a refund, then modified the policy again and did not send the refund after all.

Sonnet loves to cancel you for no reason

Once I emailed sonnet to ask, “can I use this car occasionally for work?” And they replied no and told me I had 5 days to find new insurance. I told them “or I could just… NOT use it for work…” FIRST BS CANCELLATION. Most recently I get a call on a Saturday from sonnet. Though they are only open Monday - Friday 8-8 .. he asks me for my security questions, and I smell a scam so I hang up. I call back and the LENGTHY auto service that doesn’t allow you to bypass it… hangs up on me! Over and over again. So I go into the chat and he … tells me to call again! Lol I now get a registered letter in the mail!! Claiming I did not pay and I am being cancelled!!! I call my bank and they tell me sonnet NEVER TRIED TO TAKE THE PAYMENT! So I call sonnet…& get hung up on again. So back to the chat. Chat guy tells me to “step back from my emotions” (you know us females! Always mad for no reason! God forbid anyone at this company listens!) so Bret, tells me that it was a glitch in their end. And it’s resolved. No need to be upset or panic for the past week about having my insurance cancelled for no reason AGAIN!!!! So.. that is what it’s like having sonnet for an insurance company!!! No one cares about you as a customer, they want to cancel you all the time, and it’s all robots or sexist service agents. Just know this. They will mess up and make your life hell, then do nothing to rectify it!!!! Just tell you to go “step away from your emotions” … how about YOU step into some accountability!?! And do NOT shame me or call me emotional for trying to get some accountability for YOUR SCREW UPS!!!!
