Miscommunication and understanding on…
Miscommunication and understanding on my end. I called customer service where they were helpful, courteous and understanding. Probably the best customer service I have experience in the insurance industry.
Edit: I’ve done what Sonnet has said in their reply. They still haven’t gotten back to me. All these relies are most likely them doing some PR work trying to look like they care. They don’t care about their customers, clearly. Just their image. I’ll be looking at new insurance providers this week. Our agreement expires soon. Do something about it or I’m gone. For your inability to even respond to an email I’m rating 1 star. This company is a joke.
Prices go up every year since I’ve been with you. Ive also never received any thank you or benefits for being a loyal sonnet customer, which is disappointing when I see other companies doing the opposite. A switch in the near future is increasingly likely
Initial thoughts were wonderful. Great cost and coverage.
I had to get a new vehicle and had to update my insurance. When I was getting the quotes from various agencies they were a bit higher. I was assured by a sonnet representative that my rate would be $180/month and decided to keep my insurance and stay with sonnet. Instead when I finalized the vehicle (same VIN I used for the 180 rate) it ballooned to 248/month. This cost was higher than other quotes and I would have happily paid out the remainder of my contract to switch and save money. When I brought this issue up customer service told me the other representative was wrong and that “that’s the cost of living in Toronto” which I found ridiculous. I understand I live in a major city but that is no way for anyone to speak to anyone. I also have not paid obscene amounts for car insurance in the past and have lived in the same area nearly my entire life.
I had budgeted for my car payments and the quote I was given by sonnet for my vehicle and instead am now paying almost 70/month more which is very frustrating.
I have warned others against Sonnet because of this. I most likely will not renew my contract with sonnet in the new year.
I mean other than the fact that finding their phone number is a little challenging, when I was able to get a hold of their customer service line they were extremely helpful! I was hesitant to go ahead an purchase insurance without speaking to a person first, but the rep on the phone assured me.
