Pumpkin has been great!

Pumpkin has been great for me and my pet, my dog had to get TPLO procedure and Pumpkin made it very easy for me. I submitted my claim and was reimbursed within a couple of days. I highly recommend them if you are looking for insurance for your pet!

Reliable and easy to use pet insurance

I enjoy the easy-to-use online claim service, how fast reimbursements are sent, and the fairness they have applied to assessing my two cats' cases. It's a relief not to have to worry so much about making decisions related to how expensive pet care can be, because I know much of it will be covered.

This insurance covers more than the other one I had for Timmy. I received a check from them within a day or so after submitting the bill from my Vet. Very happy with them so far no complaints here!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
