I recently switched to Pumpkin Pet Insurance after comparing their coverage my pet insurance carrier. Pumpkin covers so much more. The Customer Service Rep I spoke to from Pumpkin was pleasant, very helpful, but also professional.

Policy is really an savings plan
I paid for wellness care. Submitted the bill and learned the coverage has an annual maximum of approximately the premium you pay
When I discovered this I cancelled.
They then charged my cc the remainder of 1 year premiums.

Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
