Very grateful for Pumpkin

The team at Pumpkin is kind, caring and fast in their replies. We have felt very taken care of by them since we enrolled. To say we have a little more peace of mind as our dog ages is an understatement. We have had a couple of unexpected vet visits and emergencies, and Pumpkin has been there for us every time. Submitting claims is easy and fast.

User friendly and prompt

Pumpkin has a very user friendly process. Filling out claims is quick and easy and they are very prompt at issuing reimbursements. I have another pet insurance for one of my cats, and it really makes me appreciate how simple it is to fill out claims. Pumpkin does all the detailed work, and the customer simply uploads documents with a few clicks. Easy!!

So far we've had a great experience…

So far we've had a great experience with Pumpkin. We have had to file several claims and the longest I've waited has been about 2-3 week and as short as 2 days. So far no issue and they've covered everything I expected them to.

The best pet insurance

Pumpkin insured my senior dog who we adopted without knowing his real age or medical history. Having insurance was literally a lifesaver during the 15 months we had with our special little guy who unfortunately developed a number of health issues. My claims were handled quickly and efficiently and I felt so supported by the Pumpkin team. Sadly Billy passed in August but my new senior is also insured through Pumpkin.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
