How I chose Pumpkin Insurance
The representative that I finalized my decision to acquire Pumpkin Insurance was Jennifer.
She is highly knowledgeable regarding pet insurance in general, was very patient, and thoroughly answered all of my questions.
The way she made me feel, along with the plan offered by Pumpkin is why I decided to start my plan with Pumpkin the day I spoke with Jennifer. I feel so RELIEVED I finally made my decision on what dog insurance to get, and it is PUMPKIN!

I've only had Pumpkin for a little over…
I've only had Pumpkin for a little over a year, but so far, I'm very happy. I took each of my two cats in for their first annual wellness exams and was reimbursed 100% in only a few business days. My favorite feature though are the LIVE agents who answer the phone. Nice touch Pumpkin.

Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
