Quick turnaround for emergency visit

My dog had to go to the emergency vet for a wound on his side. I sent my receipt and medical record and had my refund check from Pumpkin within a week. If you are sure to send the medical record along with your initial claim, things move quickly. I am very happy with my experience with Pumpkin over the preceding year and will be adding my two cats in the near future.

They saved my dog’s life!

I’ve had pumpkin since my dog was a puppy. He is now 4 1/2. He’s had a couple of incidences here and there, but the big one was when he swallowed a cat toy. My dog is only a Pomeranian. This was detrimental, he needed life-saving surgery. I can’t thank pumpkin enough for the quick and prompt response for the funds to provide his life-saving surgery. I’ve always sung their praises, but I sing a little louder these days. thank you so much for being the best insurance out there this was truly one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had in my life.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
