Pumpkin | Pet Insurance Review

I’m writing this review because I had such a bad experience with a representative from Pumpkin dog insurance, so bad I canceled that day and ended up going elsewhere. I called back a few days later (today) because I still had a few outstanding claims that need to to be processed and Bethany W helped me so much that I said to myself, had Bethany been taking care of me the other day I would’ve never canceled my insurance, so kudos to Bethany W and I hope your company complements you and makes you a trainer for the other representatives to follow. Thank you. Bethany W and I may be returning to Pumpkin. If Bethany can be my point person.

My beloved kitty soul mate, Keester, became suddenly ill and required emergency and ICU care which, unfortunately, didn't work out and the only humane option was euthanasia. He had developed acute renal failure and went downhill quickly. I was totally in shock losing Keester to kidney failure I wasn't even aware of. There was nothing I wouldn't do to help him survive, but it was not meant to be. Twelve hours of emergency and ICU care cost $2100. Pumpkin provided compassionate support for me, and made complete reimbursement for the expenses incurred exactly as laid out in the policy. They even sent flowers to me at home after he died (a gentle and compassionate gesture at a time when I was consumed with shock and grief). I would still give anything to have Keester back in my life. But it is incredibly reassuring to have had the Pumpkin insurance policy in place for this critical event I never saw coming until it was too late. I thank the wonderful people at Pumpkin who never allowed me to feel I was just another policy holder and Keester was just another cat covered under a plan that cost them money. Frankly, I never expected any insurance company to care about anything except maintaining their bottom line by denying claims of policy holders. So I find them to be a real cut above any insurance company I've ever dealt with. As a person on a fixed income, I tend to overinsure because of fear that I won't have sufficient funds to cover veterinary expenses in case of emergency or long-term expenses for illnesses. I'm so glad I had this policy in place so I wouldn't have to worry about Keester getting the care he needed. As a responsible kitty mom, I would choose Pumpkin again for pet insurance I would never want to be without.

I have 2 small dogs I never had pet ins. until now and they cover everything for a wellness check up for 8and 10 weeks old vet bill was close to 300.00 I paid and pumkin ins. said they cover 100 percent and waiting to refund direct deposit in my account

Person was very helpful and answered all my questions and allowed me to go away, check my notes.and then return to my original contact, thanks .

Pumpkin has provided my baby with great insurance coverage. His asthma has gotten progressively worse, and because Pumpkin has reimbursed my vet bills, cost is not even a consideration when I go to the vet, I can just get what they recommend. Their fast and easy claims process has made everything a breeze. Thank you Pumpkin!!!
