My experience was great because I personally never thought i would be at the ER with my pet and with all the worries. Pumpkin Pet Insurance is one less worry they handled my claim in a timely manner.

Claims are handled promptly
The staff is available for questions and the process for submitting a claim is easy. The claims and reimbursement are handled right away. I am very happy with Pumpkin.

What I really appreciated was the actual human interaction on the phone. I spoke with a wonderful, patient gentleman who listened carefully to details and passed the pertinent info along and my claim was settled the next day. Wonderful experience with Pumpkin!
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
