Pumpkin Insurance Helps Owners and Pets
As a veterinary professional of over 20 years I've seen my share of pet insurance companies. I chose Pumpkin because of the client experiences I heard, seeing their coverage, and ease of use for owners like myself and that they actually do what they say they will do as far as paying claims. Recently having some unfortunate health issues arise on my own pets I knew Pumpkin was there to help and they did not disappoint. I recommend Pumpkin to all my clients whether they have young or older pets. In a world now where finances play such a huge role in whether clients can do what they need for their beloved pet because of great insurance like Pumpkin it's a reassurance that help is available. Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
