I can’t recommend pumpkin enough- the process for claims is so easy and it’s so nice knowing the bill is not even a thought of concern when it comes to emergency situations or even just vet check ups. I’ve got all of my friends and family using it too for their fur babies!

Stress Free

Process for a claim was extremely easy and they communicated with me with any questions or information requests. With a sick cat and increasing vet bills, they make the whole experience less stressful and I can feel support to do whatever I can to help my cat.

Super efficient

You response time is excellent. I submit a claim and you notify me that it has been received and two days later I receive a text letting me know the result of the claim.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
