We’ve been looking for new pet…
We’ve been looking for new pet insurance for our pets since relocating to a new state. PPI was my first choice initially, but I was a little shocked at the customer service. When I mentioned that I was considering canceling my new plan due hidden fees on an already very over-priced pet insurance. It was strongly insinuated that if money was the issue, check back when I could afford them. Easy decision: cancel.
To be clear, I happily signed my very healthy, somewhat young cat up for the “Ultimate” plan (about $100/month). I canceled when I found out this “ultimate” coverage does not cover basic visits, labs, and vaccines/boosters. That plan is an additional $50/month. They should be ashamed of themselves for their customer service.
Also, customers cannot adjust billing information online — you must call. They said they are looking into making things more online. This made claims and paperwork with them sound like a nightmare.
Went to Pumpkin instead. Also well regarded on Trust Pilot, fully online, and a third of the cost.
