Prudent Pet | Pet Insurance Review

Prudent Pet Insurance is an incredibly rare insurance company that actually cares about pets and pet parents. After a horrible experience with Spot Pet Insurance, I canceled Spot immediately and started searching for new plans immediately. Now a few things to know about my pets: - I have two cats and two dogs - one dog is 11 - 12 years old - the older dog has diagnosed and pretty serious hip pain and arthritis; this would be preexisting. - the younger dog and two cats are perfectly healthy I was so angry and in tears with Spot and their treatment of my pet family, so I cancelled it immediately and began to search for a more trustworthy company. I narrowed my search down to PetsBest, ManyPets, and Prudent Pet. I called PetsBest and was pretty pleased with their customer service. I hadn’t had a chance to call ManyPets. This didn’t end up mattering in the slightest. I called Prudent Pet and spoke to Steffie for over an hour this morning. She was so smart, kind, knowledgeable about the products and how insurance works in general. She provided me 10-star customer service, and, most importantly, she was HONEST. The company has an incredible history, story, and mission - not to even mention their incredibly priced products. My 11 - 12 year old dog’s monthly insurance is less than $70.00 for comprehensive accident, injury, illness, and vet exams with 250.00 deductible! What other pet insurance company offers such a top-tier, affordable product for such a good ol’ girl? NONE. I spent 8 hours researching. Steffie was such a delight to speak to. She was bright, shiny, personable, and like I said HONEST - which is the absolute most important thing for me. She explained pre-existing conditions in a way I completely understand and was empathetic about my girly’s hip issues. She even helped me set my policy up in advance to come out on payday next Friday! What other insurance offers that? Probably little to none! I feel so much better knowing that my babies’ health insurance has their backs and mine. Truly an amazing customer service experience, and I’m so glad I didn’t give up searching until I found the right company and plans for my babies. I spoke to Rebecca today with concerns and talking to her about a precious insurance company Lemonade and explaining to her that nobody spoke English and it's awful they have no idea what there doing. Rebecca was so helpful with all my questions and answered everything I needed. She was great!
