CUSTOMER SERVICE! I must admit, I'm too new of a member to speak to anything other than my most initial experience with Carmen, the lovely human who explained the plans and options to me - I didn't think I was ready to commit to any plan until I spoke to her and within minutes, I trusted her completely and I was ready to select Prudent for my kitty - I hope the company lives up to my experience with Carmen!! Amazing Customer Care

I was unsure of getting insurance for our German shepherd, but after speaking with Steffy I felt much better. She was so kind and really cared about my pet. She sold me on the company 100% just by being such an amazing person.

Monthly Cost

Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.

Coverage

We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.

Payout Limits

We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan.  There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.

Deductible

Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.

Age Limits

We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies. Optional Wellness Details We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount. *Correct Jan. 2019
