Pets Best Excels in Customer Service

For many years, I had a pet insurance policy with another company. When comparing it to Pets Best, I find Pets Best far exceeds in customer service, ease of claim filing, and excellent communication regarding the timeline for claim handling; also appreciate the ACH deposit of claims.

Customers for life

We've had both our pugs insured for nearly two years, and we had never filed a claim up until a few weeks ago. One of them had to go to the ER and stay overnight for treatment and monitoring. I submitted two claims (he was at 2 locations for treatment), and they were both reviewed and approved in less than a week. I expected it to take over a month, especially since it was our first claim and they had to look at his medical history, etc. Throughout the stressful few days while he was fighting for his life, we knew we were insured and didn't have to make any hard decisions if the treatment costs started shooting up. We'll be customers for life, without a doubt.

My experience with Pets Best has been…great so far!

My experience with Pets Best has been great so far. Signed up for it for my Havanese puppy; needed to use pet ER on Mother’s Day for gastritis, submitted my claim and received an EOB within a week. I have not received the check yet, but it’s on its way. Very prompt! I wish human health insurance went this well.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
