I have submitted a few claims this policy year regarding some common issues my pet is facing. Pets Best was processed these claims in a timely matter and was clear in their explanations of coverage. I am content with this coverage and it is configurable to what you can afford which is nice.

Terrible reimbursement turn around

I am not pleased With the turn around time on being reimbursed. They are very diligent about taking my 170.00 a month but when it came to paying my claim on the wellness one I was told 12-15 days and on the illness I was told 25 days. But on the day that it was time for my 15 days to be up I received a letter stating that now it would be up to 18 days for wellness and 35 for illness becouse they are just so busy this is very unacceptable. When I called the only thing they could say was they are sorry. This doesn’t help us pay the bill.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
