Pet’s Best is Peace of Mind

Pet’s Best has been a very good experience for me. My claims are paid and if they aren’t the reason is made clear. Sometimes it takes several weeks for a claim to be paid but that is made clear when you file it. Customer service reps are always helpful friendly and professional.

Very good coverage and affordable plan

Very good coverage and affordable plan. It's easy to file to a claim. Only con is processing times are 1-2 months long, so by the time a claim is processed you will have to log in again and check back to recall what you've filed. User interface could be a bit better since you'll need to click around more to find a claim you're trying to look for.

Pets Best is the BEST pet insurance

Pets Best is the BEST pet insurance. 11 months after I adopted my dog she was diagnosed with cancer, and just like human insurance, they covered all the costs except for the deductible and copays. Compared to other insurers, they had the best coverage and I'm glad I selected Pets Best.

Easy and Quick Claims Process

We’ve never used our Pets Best insurance but our dog torn her ACL and needed surgery. The claims process was extremely easy and was processed in less than a week. Great experience - except for the part about the dog tearing her ACL of course!

Processing my 2 claims and receiving the direct deposit were slow, particularly the first claim dated 10/23/2022, but overall impressed. Both claims were 'spot on' and hasslefree.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
