Claims reviewed in a timely manner. The breakdown for coverage is clear. Great continuous communications. Has had great experiences with reimbursements, especially after I set up direct deposit (faster, convenient, less paper).

Quick turn around - hand written receipt from vet

I work with a vet that has hand written receipts - despite that - the turn around time for the wellness visit was fairly quick. Even an apology that it was taking longer. So far I highly recommend pets best

Do not use this company

Please do your due diligence and look at other sites for reviews. The BBB rating is a good one. This company does not have a claims department you can talk to. When you file a claim you will most likely be denied. I called multiple times and was told by representatives they would document and pass on to the claims center. I uploaded all medical records, called a few times to ensure they had everything. And was told I was good to go. They denied all my claims related to the same surgery, stating "after multiple attempts they were unable to obtain medical records."

GREAT customer service

I had an incredibly helpful conversation with one of your associates who really took the time to answer my questions and point out some features of my policy that I was not aware of. You have a great website as well, really easy to use. And sometimes it takes someone else showing you around a site to help you appreciate how good it is. Anyway, your customer service is excellent as is your response to my claims.

Waste of Money

I have been paying for this insurance for 4 years now and recently submitted several claims for my dog. I reached my $500 deductible, was reimbursed $21 for one claim and then my next claim was denied because they said it isn’t covered, but would be applied to the deductible I already met. What a complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and set aside monthly what your premium would be in case of emergency. That will serve you MUCH better than this ridiculousness. .

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
