Slow process and poor communication
The length of time to complete and close a claim is unsatisfactory. It shouldn't take up to 42 days to close a claim. My previous pet insurance closed in less than two weeks. Your customer service lacked as well - they only repeated the same information of "It can take up to 42 days". I won't be renewing next year.

I have wellness coverage and wanted to say how hassle free it was to submit a claim and get reimbursement.
I have wellness coverage and wanted to submit a claim for my pets annual check up. Never submitted any claim before. I was expecting downloading and filling out claim forms and a big hassle. To my pleasant surprise, all had to do was download a copy of my bill. In less than a day I had a full simple to read EOB and a notice that a check was in the mail. unbelievably simple!!
Monthly Cost
$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).
Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care.
24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.
Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.
Payout Limits
$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.
Unlimited lifetime limits.
Deductible
$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
