Denied

Submitted claim and it was denied. Submitted same claim again, denied for a different reason. Three times denied. Went to ER vet (was out of town) pets best wanted all previous records from this ER vet. It was the 1 an only time there, denied. Over 6 grand out of my pocket ... pets best 0$

My only negative comment is that the insurance says they contact the vet for more info on a claim and the vet never seems to get it........

I love using Pets Best

I love using Pets Best. The process to submit claims is quick and easy. We were devastated by our dog's health diagnosis and Pets Best has been a blessing to have so that our dog is able to obtain the care she needs to live a more full life.

I don't think that they are paying fair…

I don't think that they are paying fair market value for some of the reimbursements at this time. In addition, you can't make changes to your policy until renewal. That seems a little unfair.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
