I am grateful for the insurance

I am grateful for the insurance. It does not make me consider cost when dealing with the care of my animals. I think of there care first and have the security of knowing I have insurance. We have had 3 large claims and all 3 times there were handled swiftly and without question. Also, the portal to submit claims is easy.

MUST READ: for all pet parents

We have pet insurance for our two male French bulldogs. We have had our dogs insured with pets best for over three years. As some may know, this breed can be prone to issues (genetic, incidental, breed specific, etc.) large and small. Whenever we take our dogs to the vet, we feel an overwhelming sense of relief, comfort, and assurance, that pets Best will fairly and justly do as they said they would. We feel we are always in good hands when it comes to the financial side of taking care of our dogs. There’s never any doubt or worry about what next steps will look like with pets best as our carrier, which allows us to focus all of our time, energy, and resources on taking care of our dogs. We have truly been so delighted and satisfied with the way pets best has insured our dogs.

I'm glad that we have this service!

I'm glad that we have this service for our dog since it has been a huge help. My only complaint is that when I first got a message saying that the items needed to be itemized, I didn't know what they were referring to since everything appeared to be itemized. The second time I got that notice, I called and the agent that helped me told me that it was a generic message. But she was able to help me figure out what was missing.

Long wait on Claims

It's taken forever to get any word back on my claims. I've sent in a second one, and heard something back on that one before the previous one I've submitted. Frustrating.

Pets Best paid our claim promptly

Pets Best paid our claim promptly. There was an issue with the way the surgery was interpreted and they weren’t going to pay, but it was resubmitted for review and the issue fixed. I have been very pleased with their service, we have had them for about 3yrs. and had some significant surgeries that have been paid. Thank you Pets Best!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
