First Time Claim

I had been considering pet insurance for our Pappilon for some time. After a couple of expensive vet visits I decided to seriously start looking at insurance. Pets Best was one of the companies recommended by our vet. After comparing several different companies I found Pets Best provided the best coverage at the best price. Our Callie ended up in the emergency vet last month with over $1100 in charges. I made an online claim which was quick and easy and received reimbursement within about a month which was clearly explained. I would recommend Pets Best. "

The turn around time was very fast

The turn around time was very fast. I did have a little trouble with uploading the second time when more information was needed, but I called and they were able to help me. Pets best is the best!

Happy Customer!

Our Gracie got mildly sick just before a weekend, and we thought she'd be at least ok to wait until Monday to call our vet. However at 4am Sunday morning she became much sicker so we headed to Urgent Vet. Her symptoms suggested she could have an obstruction but thankfully none was found and she was treated for gastroenteritis. The bill was high! I submitted it the next day, and within 2 days was emailed my explanation of benefits. Even after the deductible, we were reimbursed for a signifcant portion of the bill, and received a check in the mail a few days later. Thank you Pets Best

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
