Takes forever to get a claim processed

Takes forever to get a claim processed. Even having met the deductible, you still find a way to pay less than you should. Rates are much too high for what we get in return when there is a claim.

Exceptional Experience at End of LIfe

My cat just passed after a six month battle with cancer, and Pets Best has truly been so easy to work with, it's been such a weight off of our shoulders as we've gone through this process. Every claim was processed in less than a business week and the funds would follow shortly thereafter. This most recent claim was unfortunately for our cat's euthanasia, and after it was processed, we got a nice email from Pets Best expressing sympathy. They also cancelled our policy on our behalf, so we didn't have to take care of that, and we got refunded the premium that we paid between when she passed and when her last claim was paid, which is not something we expected or anticipated. I can't speak highly enough of Pets Best and I tell literally everyone I know who has a pet about this company!

Worst claim processing efer

To make a long story short, it took over a month to process and then it was closed. No one bothered to tell me they needed dental records - I have no idea if they even requested them. Plus what dental records could a dog have? He had to have teeth extracted - that should be a simple enough explanation!

amazing company

I'm so thankful to have enrolled my pets with Pets Best insurance. Unfortunately, my dog was found to have a new cancer this year. Pets Best has given no issues with coverage. It has been overall an extremely easy process to get reimbursed. I am thankful to have them! I highly recommend this company.

a scam

Constantly increasing monthly premium and then offers no coverage. They will pay out basically nothing and find many work arounds as to why your service was not covered.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
